Workplace drug testing

Workplace drug testing can decrease your risk of accidents caused by drug and alcohol use. This can be done at pre-employment assessments, with reasonable cause or randomly.

Instant drug test -these are performed on site and will provide a negative or not negative result.

Laboratory drug testing – these are sent off-site and can take up to 3 days to render results.Laboratory testing can be done for confirmatory results after a not negative instant drug test or in replacement of  for more comprehensive analysis. We recommend all not negative’s from an instant drug test should be sent away for laboratory testing in accordance with the AS/NZ standard.

Drugs tested for are:

  • Amphetamine type substances including methamphetamine
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Cannabinoids
  • Cocaine
